Today, the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety and Member of Parliament for Provencher was pleased to announce Government of Canada support for the 2nd Annual Summer in the City running June 18th and 19th in Steinbach.
“I am pleased to announce that through Canadian Heritage, our government has been able to contribute $27,000 towards this weekend’s festivities,” said Minister Toews. “This funding assists local festivals in presenting the work of local artists, artisans and historical performers.”
The 2nd Annual Summer in the City festival begins today with a variety of events and activities around the city.
“I extend my sincere congratulations all the organizers of this festival and I commend you for ensuring this festival becomes an annual event for our town,” said Minister Toews. “I wish you the best of success with this year’s celebration.”
