At approximately 3:15pm on June 22, 2010, Falcon Beach RCMP responded to a head-on collision that occurred on the two lane portion of Highway 1 just outside Falcon Beach.
The accident resulted in a highway closure for approximately 2 hours.
Investigation has revealed that a Chevrolet Malibu traveling west on Highway 1 crossed over the center line into the path of an eastbound Pontiac G6. Two occupants of the Pontiac and three occupants of the Chevrolet Malibu were transported to both Lake of the Woods District Hospital and St. Anne Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
