On June 23, 2010, at about 1:30am, RCMP Manitou Detachment along with the Notre-Dames-de-Lourdes Fire Department were dispatched to a fire at a local area hog barn near Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes in the RM of Lorne.
At present, it is believed that the barn was vacant at the time of the fire. The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner was on scene, assisting with the investigation.
The cause and damage estimates are not known, but the fire caused extensive damage to the barn.
The investigation continues.
