On June 28, 2010, at about 10:20am, Amaranth RCMP dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 50, 6 miles north of Amaranth.
 
Amaranth RCMP attended the location with Amaranth Emergency Services.
 
Investigation at the scene revealed that a 50-year-old female from Bacon Ridge and a 59-year-old male passenger from Winnipeg were the occupants of a 2006 Chevy Colorado truck. The female driver lost control of the truck while heading southbound on Highway 50. The truck struck the east bound ditch and rolled several times before coming to a rest on its side. The driver had to be extracted from the vehicle by Amaranth fire department.
 
The male passenger was taken to Portage General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
 
The female driver was taken to Portage General Hospital with serious injuries.
 
An RCMP Traffic Analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
 
RCMP continue to investigate.
