The David Iftody Memorial Scholarship has been formally presented to this year’s recipients, Keanan Byggdin of Niverville and Mathieu Durand of Ste. Anne.

Keanan and Mathieu were chosen by the Provencher Liberals to receive the David Iftody Memorial Scholarship for the 2010 year.

Mathieu Durand was at the Ken Dryden Breakfast in Steinbach on July 8 to be formally presented with this scholarship. Keanan Byggdin was unavailable on July 8, however he has also been awarded with the scholarship.

The Provencher Liberals would like to congratulate Mr. Durand and Mr. Byggdin on their outstanding academic achievements and wish them well as they pursue other studies in the years ahead.

With the great success of the first annual scholarship awards, the Provencher Liberals look forward to continuing this program well into the future. Information regarding the 2011 scholarship will be released during the 2010-2011 school year.
