On July 25, 2010, at about 9:30am, St. Pierre RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a motorcycle and automobile collision on Highway 405 in the RM of Tache.
Initial reports indicate a westbound motorcycle with two riders was in a collision with a southbound automobile.
A male rider on the motorcycle has been confirmed deceased and a female rider has been transported to hospital with serious, undetermined injuries.
No names are being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
Speed and alcohol are not considered factors at this time. Road conditions were reported as good.
Update 07/28/10 11:18am
On July 28, 2010, the female rider on the motorcycle, a 52-year-old woman from Dugald, Manitoba, died from her injuries while in hospital. The previously noted male deceased is a 56-year-old man, also from Dugald, Manitoba.
The names of the deceased will not be released . There were no other injuries reported, and the investigation into the collision is continuing.
