On Thursday July 29, 2010, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP received multiple complaints of thefts from parked vehicles in the Landmark area.
Witnesses observed two males rummaging through unlocked parked vehicles. After being challenged by a local resident, the culprits subsequently escaped in a black two door “Mustang” looking vehicle.
The initial investigation has revealed that 14 separate locations were hit where 19 motor vehicles were broken into between the hours of 4am and 5:30am. Culprits stole a myriad of items that were readily available, consisting of CDs, iPods, miscellaneous electronic equipment, loose change and other edible items.
RCMP are requesting that residents exercise extra due diligence by locking their vehicles and placing valuable items out of view.
If anyone has information in regards to these occurrences are asked to contact the St. Pierre RCMP.
