On August 1, 2010, at about 9pm, Steinbach RCMP were informed of a home invasion on Barkman Avenue in Steinbach, Manitoba.
Police responded immediately and secured the scene. Investigation revealed that 4 or 5 unknown males broke into a home while the residents were present in the house. Witnesses revealed that one of the males was brandishing a handgun while he forced his way into the house.
The culprits fled the scene in an older model, red, smaller car with unknown licence plate. No one was injured during the incident and it is unknown if anything was taken from the house.
Steinbach RCMP with the assistance of the Winnipeg RCMP Forensic Identification Unit continue the investigation.
Steinbach RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance with any information in relation to this crime.
