On August 10, 2010, at about 7:30am, Lac du Bonnet RCMP were dispatched to the scene of an accidental drowning in the Town of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.
Witnesses report an elderly man had been seen walking on the dock and had disappeared from view.
Investigation reveled that a 92-year-old male resident of Lac du Bonnet had fallen from the public dock and drowned.
Local fire and ambulance attended. Fire fighters were able to recover the man from the water, however efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
There were no other persons reported involved and no foul play is suspected.
The name of the deceased will not be released pending notification of next of kin. Police continue to investigate.
