On August 12 at 9:30pm, after receiving a tip, a dog that had believed to been stolen, was located in the brush near several residences in the area of the Lorette Coop.
The dog, a 7-year-old, medium sized black lab/sharpei cross, was reported stolen on August 10 at 1:30pm. The dog was reported to have been removed from a van which had stopped at the Lorette Coop gas bar.
It is believed that the dog was hiding out under a deck for the past two days and with the help of the dog’s owner, the dog was retrieved and appeared to be in good health.
Police cannot say at this time if the dog was stolen from the parked vehicle or had simply ran off when the driver exited the vehicle.
There are no suspects in this matter at this time.
