On September 1, 2010, at about 12pm, Powerview RCMP were advised of a lost woman in the Belair Provincial Forest near Stead, Manitoba.
 
Witnesses report the woman had been with a group of people picking wild mushrooms when she became separated from her party. She was last sen at around 9:30am.
 
RCMP from the Powerview detachment immediately began a ground search of her last known location. Additional resources were deployed, including RCMP search and rescue with the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner, RCMP Police Dog Service as well as aircraft.
 
The search continued throughout the night and into the morning. The woman has not yet been located. she is described as lightly dressed, wearing a blue hat, black shirt and gray pants. The weather overnight was described as cold, with steady rain throughout the night. The lost woman is reported to be diabetic, and requires insulin.
 
Attending the search are approximately 50 trained searchers on the ground, as well as command and support personnel.
 
The woman has been identified as 66 year old Nadia Monaco, of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The search continues at this time.
