On September 4, 2010, at about 4am, Flin Flon RCMP and local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 in Cranberry Portage. 
 
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
 
Investigation revealed that a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 pick-up truck had been northbound on Highway 10 in Cranberry Portage when it lost control and left the road, rolling in the west ditch numerous times. The truck suffered extensive damage as it had impacted a large steel highway sign as it rolled. Both occupants of the truck had been thrown clear of the truck and were found by attending emergency personnel. 
 
A 32-year-old female was found deceased at the scene. The other occupant, a 28-year-old male, was declared dead at the Flin Flon General Hospital a short time after. Both deceased were from Flin Flon, MB.

RCMP report that neither occupants had been wearing a seatbelts.
 
Speed is considered to be a factor in this collision. There were no other persons or vehicles reported to have been involved.
 
Autopsy’s have been ordered on both by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police continue to investigate.
