On September 19, 2010, at about 8pm, Brandon RCMP as well as local EMS were dispatched to a two vehicle collision on the Trans Canada Highway near Douglas, Manitoba.
 
Investigation at the scene revealed that a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 24-year-old man from Winnipeg, had been traveling eastbound on the Trans Canada Highway near Douglas, when it struck a deer.
 
A 2006 Honda Oddesy, being driven by a 37-year-old man from Carberry, had been following, and struck the rear of the Impala.
 
Both vehicles suffered extensive damage. There were six passengers in the Honda and 3 passengers in the Impala. All were transported to Hospital for examination. At least one passenger was reported to have sustained serious, undetermined injuries.
 
Alcohol is not considered a factor in this investigation.

Police continue to investigate.
