Vic Toews, Member of Parliament for Provencher and President of the Treasury Board, welcomed the passage of the Conservative Government’s budget in the House of Commons tonight by a vote of 211-91.
“This is good news for Canadians. Our Economic Action Plan contains many measures to stimulate our economy, protect workers, and ensure our financial stability in the long-term,” said Toews.
“It’s disappointing that the NDP, Bloc Quebecois and six Liberal MPs chose to vote against this support for Canadians. However, our Government is prepared to do whatever it takes to weather this economic storm and with this passage, we are one step closer to delivering help for all Canadians,” concluded Toews.
