The RCMP Serious Crime Unit in conjunction with the Thompson Major Crime Unit, RCMP Forensic Identification Services and Gods Lake RCMP Detachment are investigating a homicide in Gods Lake FN.
On September 23, 2010, at about 10:30am, Gods lake RCMP responded to a dispatch of an unresponsive female at a residence in Gods Lake FN. The female was found deceased upon their arrival to the residence.
A male was arrested at the residence and remains in police custody. No charges have been laid at this time. An autopsy is scheduled in Winnipeg.
The victim is a resident of Gods Lake. Her name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
Police continue to investigate.
