On November 6, 2010, Steinbach RCMP received a report of an armed robbery outside the Steinbach Credit Union on Main Street in Steinbach.

The victim retrieved an undisclosed amount of money from the ATM located inside the Steinbach Credit Union. Once the victim exited, he was confronted by two males who demanded that the victim hand over the money. One of the suspects brandished a screwdriver in order to get the victim to comply. The victim was not injured and assisted police in trying to locate the suspects. To date the suspects have not been apprehended.

The first suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, male, approximately 5’6″ tall, heavy build, with a scar on his upper lip. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, shorts and a baseball hat possibly with a design on it. The second male is also described as aboriginal in appearance, 5’06” tall, heavy set, he was wearing a blue hoodie and light colored pants. The two were last seen walking on Elmdale Street near Lumber Avenue after the incident.
