On November 14, 2010, at approximately 4am, Thompson RCMP responded to a break-in alarm at a gas station in downtown Thompson.
RCMP report that the window had been smashed and the suspect was gone on arrival. A suspicious person was reported to police approximately 45 minutes later leaving a nearby restaurant, which was then found to be broken into as well. The subsequent investigation identified a suspect, who was arrested at 6am at his residence.
33-year-old Sheldon Darnell Mallett of Thompson has been charged with break and enter to both businesses, along with failing to comply with probation and bail conditions. Mallett was remanded into custody to appear in Thompson court.
