On December 6, 2010, Steinbach RCMP Detachment along with the Steinbach RCMP Traffic Services attended to an accident at the intersection of PTH 12 and PTH 303, just south of Steinbach.
While on scene, police determined that an eastbound Toyota Corolla on PTH 303 attempted to cross the PTH 12 intersection and was struck by a southbound Ford Escape.
The drivers of both vehicles were the only occupants of the involved cars and were transported to the Steinbach Hospital for treatment. The male driver of the Ford Escape has been treated for minor injuries and has been released. The female driver of the Toyota Corolla has been transferred to a hospital in Winnipeg and is being treated with life threatening injuries.
The investigation is still on going.
