RCMP in Manitoba have obtained further information regarding an unidentified woman whose body was discovered in a cardboard recycling bin in the RM of Rosser earlier last week.
RCMP hope that this new information will be helpful to the public in locating the family of the deceased female.
There is a report that the mother of the deceased may be a retired teacher living in the Saskatoon area and “Laura” may have been raised on a farm in that area. The woman may also have gone by the name “Dale” which could also be a surname. Investigators have not been able to confirm this, however, in order to have closure for the family, every possibility is being examined.
Anyone with information as to her identity is asked to call RCMP at (204)984-6447 and leave a message.
Update 12/10/10 2:13pm
The deceased woman has been identified as 61-year-old Mary Anne Clara Trueby, originally from the Humboldt, Saskatchewan area. The woman had been known in the community as “Laura Friesen”, and although this turned out to be an assumed name, it was significant in determining her true identity.
