On December 15, 2010, at about 5pm, Oakbank RCMP as well as Emergency Services and EMS were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two vehicle collision on Highway 15 near the junction of Highway 207 in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba.
Initial reports indicate a compact car and a pick up truck were involved in a head on collision at the location.
The driver of the car, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and passenger of the truck, both adults, were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

The deceased has been identified as a 42-year-old man from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was traveling westbound in a 2006 Hyundai Sonata.
The other vehicle involved, a 2006 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, was traveling eastbound with two occupants, a 77-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman, both from the Anola area. The woman was transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation. Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the collision at this time.
Police continue to investigate.
