On December 28,2010, at about 1:30am, Leaf Rapids RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a fatal house fire in the community of South Indian Lake, Manitoba.

Local fire and Emergency personal attended the scene, but the residence was lost to the fire.

Initial investigation indicates that 2 adults were in the residence at the time of the fire and did not survive. The identities have not been confirmed at this time and autopsies have been scheduled.

Investigators from the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner were on scene assisting with the investigation and the cause has not yet been determined.

There were no other injuries reported in relation to this incident.

Police continue to investigate.
