The Seine River School Division Board of Trustees has nominated the division’s former administrator for an award.
For the past 16 years, the Manitoba Association of Schools Trustees (MAST) has given an award annually to recognize exemplary service or achievement in the areas of trusteeship, classroom teaching, administration or educational leadership.
The board of trustees has decided to nominate former superintendent Roy Seidler for the Presidents’ Council Award, from MAST.
Seidler spent his entire 35-year career within the Seine River School Division. The last 14 years were spent as the division’s Superintendent. Prior to that, he was Vice-Superintendent, and Principal in La Broquerie, Ste. Anne and Lorette.
