On February 17, 2011, at about 7pm, Arborg RCMP as well as local fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene of a fatal vehicle rollover on Highway 7, north of Teulon, Manitoba.
Investigation revealed that a 2009 Pontiac was northbound on Highway 7 when it rolled over at least once. The driver and lone occupant, a 61-year-old man from the East Interlake area, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An RCMP traffic collision analyst attended to assist with the investigation.
Road conditions were reported to be poor at the time of the collision, with blowing snow and reduced visibility. Seat belt use is also considered to be a factor.
