Shortly after 6 am this morning, Boissevain RCMP were dispatched to highway 10, about 5 km south of Boissevain, to the scene of 3 separate collisions involving a dozen horses running loose on the highway.
The three separate vehicle crashes resulted in two people getting hurt and receiving medical treatment for undetermined injuries and three horses dead.
RCMP report that the remainder of the horses have been located and are back with their owner. The horses are owned by a local area individual.
RCMP continue to investigate.
While unrelated to the crashes, RCMP report that visibility is poor in the area due to a snowfall right now. For those traveling in the Boissevain area, use caution.
