The RM of De Salaberry has passed a new policy that will include farm buildings within their municipal building inspection guidelines.

According to council, the decision was made to include farm buildings within their scope of home and building construction policies because they felt that all farm buildings should be inspected.

The new policy will require that inspections must be conducted on all farm and accessory buildings, including grain storage bins.

The municipality has a twelve point inspection requirement that is in place for all other building construction that occurs within the boundaries of the municipality.

In addition, a development permit will be required to construct a grain storage bin within the RM of De Salaberry. The cost of the permit is $70.
