On February 24, 2011, just after 1pm, Central Plains RCMP, as well as Portage la Prairie Emergency Services and EMS, responded to a 3 vehicle collision on Highway 1.

The collision occurred just east of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

Investigation revealed that at the intersection of Angle Road and the Trans Canada Highway, a southbound Dodge Grand Caravan collided with an eastbound Pontiac Grand Am causing the Grand Am to collide with a Pontiac Sunfire.

The 33-year-old male driver and the 28-year-old-female passenger of the Grand Am, both from Ebb and Flow FN, along with the 24-year-old female driver and the 13-year-old male passenger of the Dodge Caravan, both from Portage la Prairie, were transported to Hospital with what was reported to be undetermined, non life threatening injuries.

Westbound traffic was reduced to one lane for approximately 30 minutes.

Police continue to investigate.
