Sketch of homicide suspect

RCMP are actively looking to identify suspect in sketch.

The RCMP investigation into the homicide of a 16-year-old teenager continues to progress and police are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect.

Crimes Stoppers posters have been posted throughout the City of Thompson in an effort to generate tips. Business surveillance videos from several Thompson businesses have been gathered by the investigators. While it is expected to take time to sift through, investigators areĀ  confident that they will find the culprits. In excess of 15 investigators have been working full time on this homicide.

The cause of death will not be released as it is believed that only the killer(s) know what caused the victim’s death.

RCMP report that while there has been local rumors that the victim was thrown from a balcony, there is no evidence to suggest that this is the case.

RCMP are actively looking to identify 3 suspects observed leaving the scene. One of the suspects is described as shorter in height and heavy set. His hair is curly, and appears to have been dyed reddish blonde. He has fair skin, and was wearing a white sweater with a black logo on the front.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Thompson RCMP Detachment at (204)677-6909 or Manitoba Crime Stoppers. Any information provided to police may potentially bring the suspect(s) who murdered this young person to justice.
