On March 28, 2011, shortly after 4am, RCMP Norway House Detachment were dispatched to a residence in Norway House where a resident was allegedly being assaulted.

RCMP responded to the residence along with local Band Constables, when shortly after arrival, the suspect threatened to get a rifle if police did not leave his residence forthwith. Before the suspect had the opportunity to get a firearm. RCMP members arrested the man identified as 38-year-old Eric Herman Apetagon of Norway House.

Apetagon refused to cooperate with police and resisted his arrest. He was taken into custody in Norway House Detachment.

A firearm was later seized that morning from the residence.

Eric Apetagon has been charged with uttering threats, resisting arrest and two counts of breach of undertaking.

Apetagon has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to make a Court appearance in Thompson Provincial Court.

The investigation into the incident continues.
