Two men are facing drug charges after crack cocaine was seized in a traffic stop south of Thompson.
On April 9, 2011, at approximately 4pm, Thompson RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 6, south of Thompson. While conducting the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle resulted in a seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine, with a street value of approximately $25,000.
Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested on scene.
24-year-old Michael Aaron Kemball of Winnipeg, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and two counts of breach of recognizance. Kemball was remanded into custody to appear in Provincial Court in Thompson.
A 19-year-old Oakview man, who was the second occupant of the vehicle, was released from custody on a promise to appear in court on June 10, 2011.
