On May 9, 2011, just before 9:30pm, Central Plains RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at the Bank of Montreal in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

Investigation revealed that while attempting to make a night deposit for The Source, the female employee was robbed at knife point. While the employee was at the ATM machine to make the deposit, the suspect approached her from behind, pointed a knife at her and told her to give him the money. The suspect ran off on foot after stealing the deposit bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

The suspect has been described as male, approximately 5’4″ tall with a darker complexion. He was wearing dark pants, a dark blue hoody and a dark scarf covering his mouth and nose.

Police continue to investigate.
