On May 28, 2011, shortly after midnight, Norway House RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence on the Norway House Cree Nation.
Investigators located approximately 196 grams of cocaine, 991 grams of marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia and approximately $3,000 in cash.
The estimated street value of the drugs in the community is nearly $40,000.
One man and two women were arrested at the scene.
42-year-old Kurt Gabriel Menow of Norway House has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He remains in custody, and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court today.
A 65-year-old woman and a 46-year-old woman, both residents of Norway House, have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on a later date.
Police continue to investigate.
