The Steinbach Curling Club is one of 16 curling clubs in Manitoba that will be receiving funds from CurlManitoba towards curling club projects.
16 successful applicants to the CurlManitoba Development Fund will receive $52,000 to fund projects in their curling clubs in Manitoba over the upcoming year.
21 applications were received requesting $143,132.58. This brings the total number of requests to 98 and the total amount requested to $687,589.98 over the last 4 years.
2010 marks the 4th year that CurlManitoba has distributed funds from its’ Development Fund. Over these 4 years, CurlManitoba has distributed $202,804 to 62 Manitoba curling club projects.
The Development Fund was created from profits received from previous National and International events held in Manitoba.
This year’s successful applicants include:
• Altona – $3,500 for Rock Inserts
• Curl Balmoral – $3,000 for Compressor Rebuild
• Beausejour – $4,500 for New Rocks
• Boissevain – $2,500 for Water Filtration
• Fisher Branch – $3,000 for Club Improvements
• Grandview – $500 for Ceiling Restoration
• Minnedosa – $2,500 for Storage for Water Filtration System
• Petersfield – $4,500 for Ice Plant/Header Repairs
• Steinbach – $5,000 for Compressor Repair/New Ice Plant
• Stony Mountain – $5,000 for Rebuild Ice Plant
• Teulon – $5,000 for New Ice Plant
• Treherne – $2,500 for Compressor Repair
• Warren – $2,000 for Interior Roofing
• Winkler – $2,000 for Interior Painting
• Pembina – $2,000 for Chiller Repairs
• Rossmere – $2,500 for Reverse Osmosis
• Pilot Mound – $2,000 for Club Room Improvements
