An adult male pedestrian has died after being hit by a car early this morning in the RM of Rockwood.
On July 3, 2011, at about 2:30am, Stonewall RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle vs pedestrian collision in the RM of Rockwood.
Initial investigation indicates that a 1992 Honda Accord being operated by a 35-year-old male was in collision with an adult male pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The deceased was not carrying any identification at the time of the collision and positive identification is pending.
The collision occurred on road 9 east, west of Stoney Mountain, Manitoba.
An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation. At this time, there is no indication of speed or alcohol being a factor in the collision.
Police continue to investigate.
