On July 16, 2011, at about 7:45pm, Powerview RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal single vehicle rollover in the RM of Alexander.

Initial investigation indicates that a 1988 Chevrolet van was traveling north on Highway 59 at the junction of Highway 11 when it left the roadway and rolled over at least one time. The driver and lone occupant, a 51-year-old woman from the RM of Alexander, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

An RCMP Traffic Collision Analyst attended to assist with the investigation. Seat belt use is considered a factor in the collision at this time.

There were no other vehicles or persons reported to be involved in the collision.

Police continue to investigate.
