RCMP Investigators have charged a 39-year-old female school teacher from Neepawa with two counts of child exploitation.
Investigation into the matter began on September 7, 2011, when a complaint was made to Neepawa RCMP regarding a relationship between the teacher and a 17-year-old male student. This was reported to have occurred between June and August of 2011.
The teacher was arrested on September 9, 2011, and has since been released from custody. The accused is scheduled to appear in Neepawa Provincial Court on November 1, 2011.
The accused is no longer working in the school system and the student no longer lives in the area. The accused is on conditions not to have any contact with the youth.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the youth.
