On October 22, 2011 at 11am, Elphinstone RCMP as well as local Emergency Services were dispatched to the scene of a fatal farm accident in the RM of Park, Manitoba.
Initial investigation indicates an adult male was operating a tractor on an agricultural property when it rolled off of an embankment and into the Little Saskatchewan River. The tractor became submerged and the man went under the water.
The operator, a 75-year-old man from the RM of Park, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The name of the deceased will not be released.
Police continue to investigate.
