An Ontario woman is dead after the SUV she was a passenger in rolled into a ditch on Highway 1 near Falcon Lake.
On October 30, 2011, at approximately 12pm, Falcon Beach RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 1, approximately 20 km west of Falcon Lake.
Investigation revealed that the driver of an SUV traveling westbound went off the highway into the south ditch and rolled the vehicle several times.
The 37-year-old male driver and the 30-year-old female passenger were taken to hospital where the female passenger was pronounced dead. Both occupants were from Ontario.
Police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the collision. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
