On November 21, 2011, an adult female from God’s Lake Narrows was arrested in Winnipeg by the RCMP “D” Division Drug Section in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.
During the arrest, police located approximately 30 grams of marijuana. The street value of the seizure is estimated to be $1,000.
A 20-year-old woman is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Earlier in the month, on November 9, an adult male from God’s Lake Narrows was also arrested in Winnipeg by the RCMP “D” Division Drug Section in relation to a drug trafficking investigation.
During this arrest, police located 13 grams of cocaine, 135 grams of marijuana, as well as a quantity of ecstasy pills and pain medication. The estimated street value of the seizure was approximately $5,000.
26-year-old Clifton Blair Clarke has been charged with 4 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as two charges of breach of Recognizance. Clarke remains in custody.
These investigations were the result of joint initiative involving God’s Lake Narrows RCMP Detachment and the RCMP “D” Division Drug Section. These initiatives are being coordinated in an effort to stop the flow of Narcotics into Northern Manitoba Communities. Illegal Drugs are a serious problem and contribute to crime in communities throughout Manitoba.
