A Split Lake man is facing drug trafficking charges after police seized an amount of cocaine during a traffic stop last week.
On December 4, 2011, at about 7am, Thompson RCMP stopped a vehicle destined for Split Lake, MB. During a search of the vehicle, police seized approximately 3 ounces of cocaine and a small amount of cash. Police say that the street value at the destination is approximately $9,000.
A 25-year-old Split Lake resident, Geoffrey Allan Keeper has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Keeper was released on a recognizance to attend Thompson Provincial Court on January 21, 2012.
