On December 23, 2011, at about 8:30pm, Swan River RCMP and the Pine River Fire Department were dispatched to a fire involving a business in Cowan, Manitoba.
Nash’s Cool Treats Restaurant was found to be fully engulfed in flames and the structure succumbed to the fire. RCMP report that there were no injuries and the total value of property loss is not currently known.
The police investigation continues in consultation with the Office of the Fire Commissioner, arson is not suspected.
