On December 29, 2011, at about 7:30pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP and Portage Fire responded to a complaint of a vehicle fire in Hazel Bay in Portage la Prairie.
RCMP report that A 2009 Dodge Caliber was engulfed in flames.
Evidence located at the scene lead police to a house near the location of the fire. 2 males were located and arrested.
A 19-year-old male from the RM of Portage la Prairie, and a 14-year-old youth from Portage la Prairie, have been arrested and charged with arson, theft under $5,000 and mischief over $5,000.
The investigation is continuing.
