Suspect wanted by police in connection with local break and enter.
Steinbach RCMP are looking to the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a recent break and enter at Smitty’s Restaurant in Steinbach.
On January 7, 2012, around 2:50am, a male suspect broke into Smitty’s Restaurant in Steinbach by prying open the north side door. The suspect was seen inside the servery area rummaging through a drawer. RCMP report that the suspect then fled the business in what appeared to be a light coloured minivan.
The suspect is described as wearing light grey colour pants, a winter jacket with three different colour tones of grey, light blue and dark blue. The suspect was also wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a white toque.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect(s) responsible for this break and enter.
