A 54-year-old Dauphin man is facing numerous drug related charges after police seized a quantity of marijuana from a residence in Dauphin earlier this month.
On January 20, 2010 at about 7pm, investigators from the Dauphin Municipal RCMP Detachment executed a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) Search Warrant at a residence on 10th Avenue S.W. in Dauphin, Manitoba.
RCMP report that officers seized 53 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, along with a quantity of drying marijuana and related growing equipment.
A 54-year-old Dauphin man has been charged with producing a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. He been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court on March 6, 2012.
This investigation is part of the Marijuana Grow Initiative, The RCMP’s national strategy to combat marijuana grow operations and the organized crime groups running them in our communities.
Police continue to investigate.
