On February 4, 2012, at about 3:30pm, local searchers discovered the body of a 17-year-old male, south of Hodgson, in the RM of Fisher, Manitoba.
Police say that he was located in a rural area by searchers using snowmobiles.
The youth had been reported as missing to police during the evening of January 30, 2012. Efforts to locate him had been unsuccessful. He was reported to have been last seen in Peguis First Nation on January 30, 2012 in the morning hours.
RCMP report that the youth was from Winnipeg and had been staying with relatives in the area. An autopsy is scheduled to be completed and foul play is not suspected at this time.
Investigators are asking that anyone with information as to his whereabouts between January 30th and February 4th contact the Fisher Branch RCMP at 204-372-8484.
