On March 22, 2012, at approximately 5pm, Roblin RCMP responded to a break and enter complaint in the Town of Roblin, Manitoba.
Investigation revealed that a male entered an unlocked residence and located a female asleep in the residence. The female was the lone occupant in the residence at the time. She awoke to the male sexually assaulting her. The victim then chased the male out of the residence and police were notified a short time later.
Police have arrested 51-year-old Stanley Widenmaier, a resident of Roblin, for break and enter and sexual assault. Widenmaier was remanded in custody on the charge and has appeared in Roblin Provincial Court. He was released on conditions and is to appear in Roblin Provincial Court on April 19, 2012.
