RCMP are looking to the public to identify three suspects involved in an assault incident that occurred this past weekend in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
At 2:30am, on March 31, 2012, Central Plains RCMP responded to a report of an assault that occurred on the first block of 6th Street, NE in Portage la Prairie.
Investigation has revealed that a 19-year-old female from Portage la Prairie was walking home from an area night club when she was approached by 3 unknown males. The victim reports that the suspects had been following her after she left the bar. The suspects approached the woman, held her and attempted to remove her clothing.
RCMP report that the victim was able to get away and ran to the RCMP detachment. There were no injuries in connection to this incident.
The suspects were all described by the victim as male and aboriginal in appearance. One male was described as heavy set, wearing a shiny brown hooded sweater with white sleeves and a dark colored hat. The second male was wearing a textured black leather. He had a high pitched voice and had tribal tattoos on the back of his right hand. The third male was wearing a black long sleeved shirt and dark colored hat.
