A 64-year-old driver from The Pas, Manitoba, is facing impaired driving charges after crashing a Handy Van vehicle into a local building.
On April 12, 2012, at about 9:30am, The Pas RCMP as well as local emergency services were dispatched to the scene of a single vehicle collision in the Pas, Manitoba.
Investigation indicated that a local Handy Van passenger vehicle had struck a building.
Police say that the driver was transported to hospital for treatment and that there were no other occupants in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
The 64-year-old male driver, a resident from The Pas, is facing charges of failing to provide a blood sample and impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He has been released from police custody and will be appearing in Provincial Court at a later date.
There were no other persons or vehicles involved in this collision.
Police continue to investigate.
