On April 18, 2012, at about 9:30am, Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP as well as local emergency services responded to the scene of an accident where two pedestrians were struck by a motor vehicle on the Ebb and Flow FN.
Investigation revealed that an adult female was operating a 2002 Ford pick-up truck when it collided with two adult males in the yard of a residence.
The injured men, a 21-year-old and a 36-year-old, both from Ebb and Flow FN, were transported to local hospital for treatment of injuries. The 21-year-old man was later transported to hospital in Winnipeg for further treatment.
The driver, a 35-year-old woman from Ebb and Flow, was arrested at a nearby location and remains in police custody.
The accused is facing a number of charges, including two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm and will be appearing in Dauphin Provincial Court.
Police continue to investigate.
