May 2nd is Wear Blue Day in South Eastman. All of South Eastman region is invited to join the movement in making the stigma around mental illness a thing of the past.
Wear blue and be counted among the thousands in our region that are promoting positive mental health awareness and suicide prevention. If you are spotted wearing blue you could win free tickets to the Blue Carpet Gala to be held on May 29th at the Niverville Heritage Centre. In conjunction with Wear Blue Day, and the Out of the Blue campaign, the South Eastman Child and Adolescent mental health team is proud to present: Dr. John Walker, professor Clinical Health Psychology University of Manitoba and Director for the Anxiety Disorders Program at St.Boniface Hospital. Dr. Walker is recognized internationally for his work on anxiety disorders treatment and will be the guest speaker at a parenting session workshop to be held at the Hanover School Division office, 5 Chrysler Gate, Steinbach Manitoba. The session is from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
