A Gladstone man has been arrested for impaired driving after crashing his truck into a utility trailer in Portage la Prairie.
On Friday, May 4, 2012, just before 8am, Central Plains RCMP as well as Portage la Prairie Fire Department and Portage EMS were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle collision on 3rd Street NE in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Initial investigation indicates that while traveling westbound on Fisher Avenue, the driver of the 2001 Ford F150 lost control of the vehicle, damaging street signs and then hitting a utility trailer. Police say the trailer was being towed by a 2006 GMC Sierra that was headed south on 3rd Street NE.
No injuries were reported in this incident and alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
A 35-year-old man from Gladstone, Manitoba, was arrested for impaired driving.
RCMP continue to investigate.
